Juniors

Juniors learn to sail in ‘off-the-beach’ dinghies following the sailing pathway in the same way as adults to club racing.
Having usually come up through Tackers learn to sail programs they have the option to progress beyond their club racing through to High Performance Squads and ultimately the Australian Sailing Team and the Olympics.
Many juniors also progress from dinghy racing to keelboat racing as crew.
Juniors also have the option of sailing in schools based teams sailing, where three boats race against another three boats. Some schools offer sailing as part of their physical education, outdoor education, and after school programs.
Dinghy Courses
Sailing a Dinghy is fun and exhilarating and this program has been developed to provide a safe, informative introduction. If your aim is to confidently control your own small boat, this is the place to start.
Starting with the essential skills and safe practice, more advanced skills and techniques are gradually introduced as students progress through the syllabus so that by the end they will be ready to start racing or just enjoy being out on the water.
