About Us
Have you considered learning to sail or improve your sailing knowledge? If your answer is yes then the Sandringham Yacht Club Boating Academy (SYCBA) is the place for you! The SYCBA began operation in 2002 and has taught over 5,000 people since it’s opening with the age bracket of the participants ranging from 7-70 year olds! The SYCBA offers a wide range of courses from “Learn to Sail Beginners” to “High Performance Coaching”…even catering for Olympic Athletes and World Champions. The SYCBA is an accredited Yachting Australia training centre with highly experienced, friendly and instructors.
The SYCBA contains three different boats in its fleet, resulting in a variety of courses being available to cater for differing needs and requirements - the Beneteau 7.5m utilised for adult or youth keelboat training, the Pacers used for adult or youth dinghy training, and the Optimists to cater for junior sailing during the learn to sail, holiday or school programs.
